Some thoughtsWe had to raise the dues. We are not here to lose money, we are here to promote ham radio -- especially its educational aspects. But we raised the dues the minimum amount we could; if that does not work and I believe it will, we can always raise the dues again next time. Now that we ensure a continued good financial status, we must look to our educational organization status and ask that each of you participate in helping newcomers, in educating oldtimers in new modes or new facets of ham radio. If you have never participated in providing emergency communications capability as a public service, why not start now? If you have never been an elmer for a new ham, why not start now? If you have never come to a club meeting and participated in policy discussions about the direction of the club, why not start now? It's never too late. 73,
