BRATS Elections/Holiday Party December 14
The Annual elections of The BRATS will take place at The Pikesville Library on Tuesday, December 14
at 7:30 PM. We will elect our 4 officers and 6 of the12 members of the Board of Directors. Following the
elections, we will be treated to a delicious repast as our Annual holiday party. Bring your family and plan
to join us for this festive occasion.
FCC BPL Report and Order Stresses Avoidance, Resolution of Harmful
Interference (Oct 29, 2004)
The FCC today released the full BPL Report
and Order (R&O) it adopted just two weeks ago. While extolling the
purported benefits of broadband over power line technology, the 81-page
document also declares the FCC's intention to "protect licensed services
from harmful interference." (Full document available on ARRL, FCC web sites)

White House Appoints Adelstein to New Term on FCC
President George W. Bush this week announced his intention to nominate FCC Commissioner Jonathan
S. Adelstein to serve the remainder of a five-year term expiring June 30, 2008. Sworn into office in
November 2002 to complete the rest of former Commissioner Gloria Tristani's term that ended in June
2003, Adelstein is one of two Democrats on the five-member FCC.
